Discovery aims at implementing a fully decentralized IaaS manager to overcome the main limitations of the traditional server-centric cloud solutions regarding Fog/Edge infrastructures. To that end, it revises the OpenStack software in order to make it inherently cooperative. I was involved in its Fog/Edge/Massively Distributed Clouds (FEMDC) working group.
